A new research published in the British Journal of Urology International suggests that using too many drugs regularly may lead to erectile problems in men of different ages.
Researchers surveyed more than 37,000 males in the ages of 50 and 70, and investigated that erectile dysfunction was met more often among men taking many different medications for different conditions they had. Many men take various medications for different conditions even if there is no urgent necessity in it. The researchers found that 57 % of study participants took more than 3 medications. It was estimated that 25 % of the participants used at least 10 medications on a regular basis.
The most common medications related to impotence are medications for hypertension management and antidepressant medications. If you experience ED and take many different medications, ask doctor about side effects of the medications you take and if they exist what other treatment opts are available.
